Disinfection/Spray at Public Places – Offices, Malls, Hotels, Schools & Universities, Restaurants, Airports, Railway Stations, etc.

CORONAVIRUS Disinfecting Services (Covid-19)

There are specific disinfection protocols for public places, especially related to the environmental cleaning of routinely touched objects and surfaces so that to reduce the risk of virus transmission. Public places include every facility except for your personal space. Examples of public spaces include schools, malls, restaurants, offices, railway stations, airports, factories, etc. However, spaces such as schools and malls are completely shut throughout the country.

Persons interacting and making physical contact with each other in public places such as airports, schools, and factories is one of the main reasons behind the spread of COVID-19 in Pakistan. Despite all this, it is not possible to shut down the whole country, and therefore certain businesses are allowed to continue their operations. Power Facilities Management is providing disinfectant cleaning services to all its clients by taking into account the directives given by the Government of Pakistan to stop the spread of coronavirus. The essential measures Final Pest Control takes while spraying at clients’ spaces are briefly discussed below:

A) How do we Disinfect/Spray at Offices/Factories/Restaurants/Schools & Universities etc.?

CORONAVIRUS Disinfecting Services (Covid-19)

1) We clean your office with detergent or soap before carrying out COVID-19 Spray and disinfection process.

2) Our team wears disposable gloves and uniforms while cleaning and disinfecting the objects and surfaces. The gloves and uniforms used for the disinfection of surfaces and objects are discarded after each COVID 19 spray.

3) We take the highest possible measures while servicing our commercial clients. One of the main reasons behind the transmission of COVID-19 in offices is keyboards which are not only frequently used but are also difficult to clean mainly because they have narrow space in between the keys and also due to electricity-sensitivity of its hardware to liquids. We disinfect such office equipment through the use of Clorox disinfecting wipes or 70% isopropyl alcohol wipes. We ensure that proper care is taken to avoid getting moisture in any space or opening. Ideally, the keyboards should be covered with plastic sheets that can easily be cleaned with a suitable disinfect.

4) We disinfect commonly touched objects and surfaces such as handrails, workstations, doorknobs, telephones, and keyboards.

5) Dirty surfaces are cleaned thoroughly with water and soap just before disinfection.

6) Objects which are visibly contaminated are cleaned using disinfectant materials.

7) All the potentially contaminated areas with high contact such as doorknobs, sinks, pantry (tableware, cookware, utensils, etc.), door glasses, telephones, stationery, toilets, faucets, etc. are thoroughly disinfected.

8) Other related facilities such as office equipment, touch screen kiosks (if any), LEDs, tables, office chairs, light switches are also cleaned with application materials.

9) Soft surfaces such as rugs, carpets, drapes are cleaned with appropriate cleaning disinfectants

10) In the case of multi-floor development, the disinfection process is also conducted for stairs, lifts, etc.

2)  In the case of labor-intensive factories, make sure that physical distance is maintained by the labor while on work.

3) Manage your business operations with minimum operational staff working from business premises.

4) Avoid using conference rooms for meetings. Use software like Microsoft Teams to conduct meetings even when the participants are in the office.

5) Wash your hands often with water and soap for a minimum of 20 seconds. Use sanitizers with at least 60% alcohol if water and soap are not accessible/ available.

Spray/ Disinfection for Private Spaces

It is also important to disinfect your entire private space. At the household level, all commonly touched surfaces and objects should be cleaned using disinfectants on a daily basis. Such surfaces/ objects include tables and chairs, handles and doorknobs, toys, light switches, desks, countertops, phones, computer mouse, keyboards, faucets, sinks, and toilets, etc.

Surfaces with dirt should be cleaned with detergent or soapy water just before the use of the disinfectant. The bleach solution (hospitals: 0.5%; households: 0.1 – 0.2%) is one of the most commonly used disinfectants at homes.

We have provided below the procedure for disinfecting your home yourself. If you decide to outsource the disinfectant cleaning services to experts then we are always available at your service.

In order to prepare the bleach solution at your home, follow the below-mentioned procedure;

The first thing you have to do is to open your windows, wear gloves, and be careful.

If the power of bleach solution you have at your home is 10% then multiply this strength with 2 (10 x 2 = 20)

Deduct one from 20 (20 – 1 = 19). Now mix 1 part of chlorine with 19 parts of water and your 0.5% solution is ready for use.

Mix 4 – 5 tablespoons with 4-liter water OR mix 4 teaspoons of bleach per quarter of the water

Never add any other ingredient to the bleach solution as it may produce harmful gases

Ideally, these types of disinfectants should be used for wiping small surfaces and objects like doorknobs, remotes light switches, handles, desks, sinks, toilets, and also for moping the floor.

For soft surfaces such as carpets, drapes, and rugs, make sure to remove any visible contamination when cleaning it with suitable cleaners recommended for use for these surfaces.

Disinfect your home on a daily basis with the available disinfectants including the homemade bleach solution through the use of spray pumps, Clod foggers or ULV.
